Changing color may require more frequent touch-up than restoring to original, particularly on non-absorbent leather and vinyl. A different color will wear better on absorbent aniline or semi-aniline leather. Do not use our products to change the color of faux leather.
To ensure the best result, thoroughly clean the upholstery, and test the color's adhesion by applying a couple coats, letting it dry, then pinching, twisting, or scuffing it.
White is the heaviest pigment and has the poorest coverage. Thus, changing a darker color to white, ivory, beige, or ash grey will require 2-3x the volume of color and will result in a thicker, heavier and less flexible finish. This will wear more easily and require more maintenance and is thus discouraged.
