I ordered two times and still never got my match
    Reply from Lesandre Barley:
Hi Arnold, there are hundreds of shades of off-white, ivory and cream colors, which is why we suggest folks order swatches. We'll mail you some free ones today. If those don't match, we can customize for a fee if you send a sample. You can exchange or return the Ivory as well.

    Fixed my pontoon boat seatss
I used this product to cover my pontoon boat seats that were old and dry with mold on them, it worked great. I cleaned the seats with rubbing alcohol and rubbed on several coats of paint. The paint dries pretty quick so can do many coats in one day. I also patched areas and used filler for the holes.

    It works very well
We live on a boat in Panama that is always open to the sea breeze. So like everything in Panama parts of the cushions in the Salon get speckeled with spots of black mold. There is no way to get it off without destroying the vinyl. So about once a year we dye all the cushions (and the mold) and they look like new again. We have been doing this for about eight years and love the fact that there are no toxic materials involved.

    Wrong shade
Second time I tried, I give up. I am never able to match.
    Reply from Lesandre:
There are hundreds of beige, ivory, and cream colors. We have only three standardized colors, but we can match a color if you send a sample. Learn more about color matching here.

I used on my pontoon boat seats not really impressed with results. Followed instructions but just did not seem to cover much of the discolored seats

    Good product!
Our light beige loveseat, armchair and ottoman are 18 years old, and they had some scratches from a cat as well as general wear from sitting and moving around on the leather. Some areas were worn and wrinkled so that the leather felt thin. The finished pieces look very good and we are pleased. Granted, there was a lot of work involved to do this project (more than we expected), but we're glad we put in the hours to finish it right. Thank you to Lesandre for being available to answer email questions all throughout our project. Thank you!

Used your product to recolor dark streaks that developed where I rest my head on our ivory leather couch. Within minutes, the dark streaks were gone and the headrest looked like new. Couldn't have been happier with the results.

    Vinyl miracle!โœจ
Was definitely skeptical at firstโ€ฆ took about 3 coats with some areas harder than others but what an easy application and once I was happy with the evenness of the color I did a final topcoat with the โ€œClear prep & finishโ€ and OMG! What a transformation! My bench seat from my vintage trailer looks glossy & new! Amazing product! So happy I spent a little extra money and didnโ€™t use vinyl spray paint!

    Restored (Ivory) Chairs
I think the photo speaks for itself. We had two identical chairs that, due to dogs laying on them, etc., had really deteriorated. We did some research and found Rub N Restore. We first had two color swatches sent--beige and ivory--and chose ivory because it was a little closer match, although a bit lighter than the original. We bought 16oz of dye and 8oz of the clear topcoat. We first did a little prep on the cushions, which had the worst damage. I watched the video about repairing cracks and repaired the one crack we had with some super glue. The seat cushions were also rough, so I did a little sanding. Then, we mixed the clear and d...More

Then, we mixed the clear and dye and applied the first (light) coat to the worst areas, did two more coats of the dye over the whole chairs, and then did a top coat of the clear. This picture is before the topcoat. It was a little hard at first to not get streaks, but the trick is to rub and rub and rub as it dries. We ended up with about 1/3 left in each bottle. We could have used more up with additional coats, but didn't see much point.

    Very satisfied so far
The color on my 13 year old ivory leather La-Z-Boy recliner was starting to wear through from repeated cleanings, mostly on the headrest. I ordered ivory and marine white dye based on samples of white, ivory and beige that I pre-ordered. The ivory was a bit more yellow than the sample led me to expect, and in hindsight I wish I had ordered the beige as well. I applied 3 coats, refining the color as I went. I added a couple of drops of brown latex paint to the dye to get the color where I wanted it. The latex paint mixed well, and the color match is so close to perfect that unless I were to point it out to someone, you'd never ...More

I've been using it daily for about 2 weeks. Time will tell if it holds up.

Thanks, Christopher, and job well done matching your own color! Drops of latex paint is okay, but in the future, work with water-based universal colorant or acrylic paint. More info is here in our mixing / modifying color instructions.

I was a little skeptical (but hopeful) that Rub 'n Restore could make my 6-year-old cream-colored leather sofa look better. It not only worked but saved the sofa from the trash collector! My husband's side of the recliner sofa was a mess. No amount of cleaning could make the headrest look any better. The finish was even rubbed off in places on the headrest. I followed the instructions provided and was totally amazed at how well the ivory product covered the bad spots on the unsightly head rest. Thank you Rub 'n Restore!

    Not a long lasting results
I applied it on my natuzzi leather sectional to change color from light gray to ivory. At first it looked fabulous and complete color change after applying 9-10 quotes but after only 2 days it started showing cracks and lines and start looking really bad. I had to strip the color from while 15 feet long sectional which took me a week.
Not a good product for color change.
    Reply from lesandre:
In your December 31, 2021 email inquiry, CC discouraged changing your non-absorbent medium grey-taupe leather sectional to white, ivory or beige. She also provided more information about color changing, which mentioned that quality, condition, and type of use are all factors that make certain projects better candidates than others. We can't honor our guarantee if one goes against our recommendations.

    wow
I've bought other cream base dies to fix my coach which is in perfect condition expect marks on the leather. scratches scuffs est. cream base products did not cover much, and I could never get the colour match right. This water base product wow, it gave good coverage and the cost was reasonable. was shocked how good of a product it was and a perfect match. made our 10 year couch look like new. WOW
