Customer Reviews & Photos of Rub 'n Restore®

Very Happy
Used the Marine white on my center console that has the typical Florida mildew in the vinyl. Took about 5 coats but covered it up really nice. I recommend watching the videos they post. I used a sponge and wiped but quickly realized you have to pat it otherwise you see streaks. Recommend getting the swatches as I bought the beige also and it was no where close.
Thanks for your excellent service and quality product.
Just letting you know how happy I am with my leather bench after using Rub'n Restore on it. Once I got the correct color figured out from your leather samples, and your advice, the actual application process was very quick and easy. I applied two coats of sealer and leather finish. Our worn, but loved, grey green leather bench looks fresh now and the rich camel color is exactly what I was trying to get to. What a great project.
I love this product!
I have ordered 2 different colors and both turned out beautifully.
Marine White color
Great coverage, easy to use. Although I used the same color as the chair.
Extremely Happy
14 year old couch and loveseat were showing their age and wear. Hated the thought of possibly replacing them as they were still in very sound shape. Discovered Rub ‘n Restore online, watched the videos, read the reviews, exchanged messages with Lesandre, ordered a few swatches and received her guidance. Decided to give it a shot. So glad that I did. The color selection was exactly what I was looking for. Following the directions provided by Lesandre, the process went very smoothly. I took my time and completed both pieces in a day. 16 oz of color and 8 oz of sealer covered both pieces with plenty left over for future needs, if any. Ve...More

GMC Sierra driver's seat was very torn and wrinkled. The bad leather was removed and patched with Rub'n Restore's Heat Cure Filler, then it was textured, dyed and sealed.
Heat Cure Filler
I've used several different versions of this filler available from other suppliers, but Rub'n Restore's product is one of the best. It has a great consistency, goes on white and dries clear. It responds quickly to the heat and takes texture very well. It doesn't have to be stored in a cool place, so the 2oz jar should get you through a lot of jobs. If you're looking for a good heat cure compound that will do many different jobs, this is it. You won't be disappointed.
Wow! Double wow!!
I can't believe how great my "couch project" turned out. I was a little skeptical, but it certainly seemed worth the $200 to try and save our couch. My plan B was to reupholster the entire thing for about $5000 or buy something new. I am so glad I took a chance and tried Rub 'n Restore. Jane is amazing and worth her weight in gold! The custom color was a perfect match. Thanks again for all the tips and videos. The toughest part was making the decision to just give it a try.
Only thing better than the product was the service
Scratched up dark leather couch from the dog and kids. Bought the Chocolate flavor Rub N Restore. Service people by email were amazing. Helped me make sure color was proper, helped right away hen I had questions. It goes on lighter than it dries - let it dry overnight and buff it with a dry cloth and it really does the trick.
Love seat
Worked great.Very satisfied.
Our finished project
We are happy with the end result. Everything went great.
Excellent product that is easy to apply
Not happy
Used product for two years. Not happy with it because it does not last long. You prep as instructed but still rubs off even if couch is used very little. Looks great at first. Easy to put on but doesn’t last. Just bought another bottle to continue the process.
Sorry to hear you're experiencing poor wear, Anthony. This article troubleshoots and may correct the issue.
Amazing results!
I have a taupe leather couch and two cats. I really had no idea how much damage they could do over the years! I purchased the taupe color along with the prep and finish product, and was amazed at how well it worked. Super easy to do and I was also surprised of how the pigment does not rub off, nor feel any differently than the original finish. Would totally recommend this to anybody with leather!
This has to be one of the best products on the market. I have an older boat with a lot of marks and mold on the seats, took everything off and it looks brand new again. If I hadn't seen it I wouldn't of believed it. What a product!!
Impressive products and service.
I'm extremely impressed with the results obtained using Rub n Restore products. I've successfully removed deep, profuse cat scratches from several pieces. A few tips I've learned from using their products:
1. Follow the cleaning instructions closely. Most people over the years have used leather conditioners on their furniture. You need to spray and wipe with denatured alcohol to get that stuff off and good paint adherence.
2. I personally wouldn't advise trying to change color very radically. I did several black pieces the same color and it was a breeze. It was somewhat trickier changing from a light beige to a taupe. I can see where going ...More

2. I personally wouldn't advise trying to change color very radically. I did several black pieces the same color and it was a breeze. It was somewhat trickier changing from a light beige to a taupe. I can see where going from a dark to a light color might be somewhat problematic for newbies.
3. I found you MUST use a top coat of some kind. They have gloss to matte, so you can custom mix exactly what you need. Without the top coat, I've noted the product can be removed by rubbing lightly with a soft cloth, which i assume also translates to rubbing off on clothing. With a top coat, it totally eliminates that issue, plus it really does a great job of evening out slight imperfections in the paint application.
4. I tried just doing a small area to remove cat scratches, even black on black. Color matching a small area, even when blending carefully is probably not going to cut it for anyone looking for a flawless outcome...in decent lighting, you're going to be able to see the difference in color and sheen. My advice would be to just pull the string and always do the entire piece of furniture.
5. They have great tutorials on youtube. Watch them. Well worth the time investment to get a successful outcome.
Check out the project image below. This queen frame was completely covered with cat scratches. Gone!
