Bonded or polyurethane leathers crack in a distinct way that turns into larger voids and delaminates. A woven knit backing or micro-suede is exposed.
Microfiber is not the same as real suede. A woven or grid texture definitely indicates a synthetic.
Due to heavy use and routine disinfecting, we discourage color changes on gym equipment. If cracks or tears need mending, please read about cracking vinyl here before you submit an evaluation.

Suede is the shaggy backside of real leather. It may or may not be the same color as the finished leather, depending on how it was dyed.
Synthetics like vinyl will have a woven or knit backing. Some faux leathers will have a fake suede or microfiber backing with fine, silk-like threads.
Put a couple drops of water on an unworn area, and wait one minute.
Note: You don't have to go darker to conceal stains!
However, changing from a dark or red color to pale shade requires double or triple the volume of color and is significantly more work and maintenance. Mitigate this by choosing the darkest possible shade.
Changing to a primary or secondary color also requires more work, more volume of color and more touch up.

I would DEFINITELY use this product again, they are extremely helpful and I give it a five star rating!
Thanks for excellent products and superb customer service, a true rare combination these days.
I am looking forward to my second project and using my new found skills. The videos by Lasundra helps give one confidence on that first try.
The box arrived yesterday and I quickly got to work. I am literally in awe!!! The results are absolutely spectacular. The boring frat couch is longgg gone and I CANNOT wait to see the look on my friends faces next time they’re over for dinner :). Thanks again for your insight and crystal clear instruction. I’m so excited about my new (old) couch!!
Before the last coat was applied the surface was looking streaky. Then I went back to your website and read that blotting color with the sponge works better, rather than moving it back and forth. That method worked beautifully.
I am so happy - The finished outcome is better than I ever expected. Whenever the finish needs a touchup, I think I’ll make it a little darker. It’s so nice to know I have that option.
