Repair cracks, tears, and holes in leather or vinyl with this flexible, water-based filler putty. Repairing peeling or flaking bonded or faux leather is discouraged.
Soft Filler is a water-based repair putty. Use a sunny window, heat lamp or incandescent bulb to cure until clear and no longer tacky. Do not use hair dryers or heat guns. Keep refrigerated when not in use.
Color will be needed to conceal the repairs. Do not used alcohol-based dyes or finishes over Soft Filler.

I received the Soft Filler and I think it’s great.
I applied several very thin layers to the mesh substrate where the vinyl had cracked and flaked off and made sure there was good adhesion with the remaining vinyl fragments. I only removed a few small pieces that were peeling away. I allowed each layer to dry and very lightly scuffed the final coat with 600 to ensure it was smooth. While I was tempted to try and texture the finish I was satisfied with the way it turned out and made a custom color dye to reasonably match the surrounding seat material.

I used your products to restore my couch and loveseat, and they turned out beautifully!! At first I only ordered products to repair a ragged tear on the seat expecting that to go poorly. Instead, it patched up nicely so I ordered primer and dye in Ivory. I'm so amazed at how beautifully this turned out and so are my friends and family. Thank you.

When it dried the filler compound is peeling making it difficult to sand and finish as directed. There seems to be no way to remove and start over.

I did NOT have success with this product. I was very disappointed that it did not achieve the look that the company said it would. :( I have a leather couch with small worn areas with little cracking in the leather.

I bought a nice leather recliner that had a rip in one arm. The FC-1 soft filler did a great job of making the tear go away. The best thing about this product is the wealth of online video information about how to use it. First try and it looks quite professional. Thanks!

I bought a western saddle and it had damage to the seat. It had two holes in the seat and I could see someone tried to fill them with some kind of filler. I found your YouTube video and watched it several times to see if the Soft Filler might work on a saddle. Well it did and I can say I’m so glad I bought the filler and followed all the directions. It took five applications to get the holes filled. I did let the filler dry in the sun and waited 24hrs to apply the next application. I just need to die that section of the seat to blend in with the saddle. Great product well worth the money.

I just wanted to say that the chair repair went very well. You can't even tell unless you get right up on it, and even then, it still looks fine. I couldn't be happier. This saved us hundreds of dollars, and kept really comfortable chairs from ending up in the landfill. Thank you so much for your help and kindness.

The stuff is the best leather repair I've ever used but I've noticed that instead of using a sponge to smooth it out what's your fingers and smooth it out with your fingers Works twice as good

It worked well up to the point in my repair that I needed more. But I ran out of repair compound from the other company before my job was done, and I didn't want to wait so long (my friend said it took a couple weeks to get. Attached are photos of my completed weekend project. I just finished putting the clear coat on this morning (I waited 2 days as you suggested). I am thrilled with the results and the custom color! I have plenty of Soft filler left to use later on as the sofa continues to show signs of love and use. Thank you again for your support and encouragement. I really couldn't have done it without you!
