I had two small holes in my motorcycle seat, each one smaller than a pencil eraser, your products repaired them beautifully. I was reading a post on a boating page where they were asking the best way to repair a small tear in their seat so I sent them a link to your page. Awesome product!

I finally finished this past weekend. It took a long time. I kept reminding myself that I had never done this before. Expect to make mistakes. The videos and helpful resources don't take the place of learning from your own mistakes. Fortunately I found your products to be very forgiving. I was able to fix everything and I was very satisfied with the outcome. It's not perfect, but still very nice.

Matching the leather chair patina was a challenge, the seat cushion, arms and back are different shades. The color samples were a big help figuring out what to order since my plan was to refinish the ottoman only. After filling the cracks with the Vinyl Repair Compound, I started with the Mocha then used a sponge to dab on the 1:1:2 Mocha/Tobacco/Sealer mix in very thin coats. A few drops of Bulletin Red paint tint pulled everything together. I have been woodworking for 40 years so matching colors is no problem. Not flawless but saves a lot of sofas!
Attached are a series of photos showing the progression of my repair. This cushion top really should have been replaced but that is beyond me at this point. This filler is a next best solution and has saved a lot of sofas from the dump. I used the mahogany die with Clear prep finish. I always use Clear Prep finish. I have now fixed up and resold over 50 pieces of leather furniture, all from coming across a video with a pretty woman repairing a leather sofa one late night on YouTube. Go figure.

The materials worked as advertised and I was able to repair and seal the damage. It’s difficult to reproduce the graining. It just takes some experience to get it right. See the photos and let me know what you think.

I now know I need to get more padding under the repair. I still have the top of the chair to do. Should have a better result.

Great step by step instructions and videos. You helped me turn this neglected vintage loveseat into a lovely addition to our home. Dry brittle leather is now supple, holes and rips are mended. Thanks for the great products!

    Almost Like Magic
My pontoon boat seats were badly in need of restoration. A couple were severely sun-damaged with a few holes (dog nail damage) that I needed to patch. For all but the most severely damaged, the result was amazing. I need to do more work and/or replace the vinyl in a couple of instances. The picture is before/after on a pad that was pretty sun-burned. On the top/most exposed to sun surfaces, I used the fill to put a thin coat on the entire surface with great results. Thanks for solving at least most of my vinyl problem.

I used this on 4 cracked leather chairs that I thought I'd have to replace and now they're smooth and look new. The excellent instruction videos on the website made it easy to apply the product correctly and a small jar was enough for the whole project. I wish I'd taken before photos so I can show you how well it worked.

I repaired a tear with a homemade subpatch, loctite, and this filler compound on top. Finished off with a color change. Worked great!

I’m very pleased although not done yet. I think some sanding and texture coats of filler will improve the repair.

I used this and Furniture Clinic's Leather Heavy Filler. I like Furniture Clinic's better- the texture is more like leather and it's easier to work with. Love Rub n' Restore as a company though.
    Reply from lesandre:
Thanks for the feedback, and kind words! We tested Furniture Clinic's filler alongside ADV's Soft Filler in 2015 and found Furniture Clinic's to be fluffier and more difficult to work with, especially in feathering and texturizing, LOL. Both, however, have held up flawlessly on a vinyl chair that remains in heavy use in our shop.

We have a leather couch, chair and ottoman and loveseat that our new kitten has used as scratching posts (even though she has her own) and your product was just what we needed to "restore and repair".    Our furniture looks like new!  It is the "cats meow" Thank you so very much!

This works as advertised!! I have a 15-year-old Design Within Reach couch that has seen better days...just patched holes and restored sun-cracked arms and seat cushions and should get another few years out of it! My work isn't quite as good as the videos, but I'm happy with it and waiting for the next hole to pop up so I can refine my work! :-)
    Reply from lesandre:
A challenging repair! Nicely done. You can always come back and re-work your repairs. Just use a little rubbing alcohol to strip off most the color. Allow to dry, and apply another coat or two of filler until level, do a final texturizing coat, and then reapply color.
