There were no tears at all. There were a couple dirty spots on the cushions but a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water took the small spots right up. It was just incredibly dried out from sitting in storage. Out of curiosity I checked the tag and this was made in Italy. I think this is the best 250$ I have spent in my life.
I carefully followed the directions for preparation, cleaning, and application. The results were all the same, and disappointing. It did not leave any luster, as the product promised, although the sofa had a nice shine when new. Additionally, all the leather furniture had been soft and supple, and after use of the product, became stiff and rough like sandpaper. The dog's nail marks on the leather sofa, which never showed before, are now clearly visible.
I would never use this product again nor recommend it to others.
amount of mess. Definately use the sealer to give it the like new look
Took some elbow grease to clean with alcohol to get oil and years off. Easy to use prep. Three easy to apply coats (probably could have gotten by with 2 coats) and then the finish coat. Took 2 days for large curved sectional, because of drying and only working it during the day.
Too early to tell, but if it holds up as advertised, it will be an a huge bargain. Only used 1 large bottle of prep/finisher and 1 large bottle of Peppercorn dye, and I still have some left for touch-up or repair.
Very satisfied, and getting compliments on "professional" end product. Will use again on our Pontoon Boat.
