Mix Clear Prep+Finish™ with any color to make a more transparent glaze and use for:

priming absorbent aniline or top-grain leather;
printing, marbling or burnishing to create a distressed or antiqued appearance;
or for a satin or semi-gloss finish.

Use alone for a glossy finish (leather only). Do not use if you desire a matte finish.

NOTE: Mixing Clear Prep+Finish™ into colors that contain a lot of yellow, red, blue or green pigment (Buckskin, Butterscotch, Camel, Cognac, Mustard, Chocolate, Brick, Rust, Cherrywood, Red Chili, Wine, Plum, Midnight Blue, Storm Blue, Lagoon, Sea Foam and Pine) may result in a more vivid hue than simply using Clear Prep+Finish™ alone as a topcoat.

Do not use as a topcoat on vinyl or on any fabric, suede, nubuck, bonded or faux leather. Store at room temperature.Click here for SDS (Safety Data Sheet).

How much do I need?

2 oz. covers ~ 15 – 20 square feet
4 oz. covers ~ 30 – 40 square feet
8 oz. covers ~ 60 – 80 square feet
16 oz. covers ~ 120 – 160 square feet

have absorbent leather or dry, sun-rotted vinyl;
want to dilute color to create a marbled, distressed, or burnished appearance;
or want a shiny finish.

Mix 1 to 2 parts Clear Prep+Finish™ + 1 part color for the first coat. Use one coat of Satin Sealer for a final topcoat.

Use equal parts color and Clear Prep+Finish™ from start to finish. If it dries too shiny, reduce the amount of clear in the mix for your final coat. Conversely, if more shine is desired, add more clear to the mix or use alone as a topcoat.

Apply a thin coat of Clear Prep+Finish™ and disperse quickly so it does not dry too shiny. You can also try equal parts color and clear.

I am very impressed with clear prep conditioning sealer. Used on old dried out discolored saddle colored sofa. Restored seat cushions to original color and smoothness of back cushions and rest of sofa. Very impressed. I had tried everything else I could find to no avail.

After I used the dye to great satisfaction I used the sealer. Only needed a little bit and it went on in minutes for the whole sectional. Really made the leather shine and make it look great! I stopped my search for a new sectional so I saved thousands!

Hi I just wanted to tell you how much I absolutely love your product for how great it works but also that I especially love how easy and fool proof it is. We purchased this Italian leather sofa and love seat for 250$ with the intention of using the Rub N Restore conditioner and sealer. The couch and love seat look like new! They came out way better than I could have ever imagined!! It was so dry but it only took 2 coats of product to bring it back to life! Thank you for such an amazing product! I dyed my sectional from beige to Ash gray. I was going to use the primer and sealer as a final coat. But on the second part of my sectional, i had to apply it as a primer to get the dye to cover better. And it worked.

This stuff is great and it goes a long way. I like how you can mix it with the color to control the amount of shine on your leather. I was getting tired of my couch and chairs, but I love the style of my furniture so when I found this, let's just say I was excited. Pretty cool products!

Great product and easy to apply. I like the fact that this does more than just prepping your couch/ leather product. After you dyed your leather, this will add a nice sheen If you decide to use after. I did a light coat after and my couch looks amazing.

the clear finish is great because it can be mixed with the stain to stain & prime together in one easy step. I also used it as a finish coat to bring a nice semi gloss to the leather. The stain along was a bit of a matt look for me so I think the semi gloss looks more finished.

I used Rub 'N Restore Clear Prep and Finish and on our leather sofa, two leather chairs, and four leather barstools. The sofa, chairs and barstools were all made by different manufacturers with different grades and shades of brown leather. I carefully followed the directions for preparation, cleaning, and application. The results were all the same, and disappointing. It did not leave any luster, as the product promised, although the sofa had a nice shine when new. I used this as a prep for a color change from dark blue to mahogany. After cleaning the sofa with denatured alcohol, one coat of this and the die completely covered the the old color in two coats using less than half the bottle of color.

Used the Flite Cleaner, Clear Prep and Mocha Dye... followed the instructions to restore the color on a leather Ottoman after my grand-daughter sprayed and rubbed suntan lotion on it. Cleaned with denatured alcohol to blend the base original color, cleaned with Flite and applied the clear prep / dye for the final color for satin finish. Worked exactly as described in instructions and videos. The Ottoman looks brand new!!
