This video shows how the natural marbling of dyed aniline leather can be obscured by leather paints and why a minimalist approach should be used. The restoration process includes cleaning, conditioning, subpatching and repairing a tear, application of a clear finish, followed by a pigmented finish and final burnishing with a secondary color.
