This water-based finish boosts durability when changing color and seals bright shades (Butterscotch, Red Chili, Cherrywood, Wine, Plum, Midnight Blue, Storm Blue, Lagoon). It dries with a low-luster finish. Mix 1:4 with color.

    Changed from Awful to AWESOME!
Our leather sofa started out as a pearl gray color. When I tired of the gray and our dogs had scraped a bit of the finish off from wet feet, I decided to paint it a camel color. After doing a bit of research I found that others had successfully used wall paint, so I tried it. But it felt like paper, began cracking in creases and scraping off. Besides that, I hated the color! I resisted going to Rub ‘n Restore as I didn’t want to admit that I had used wall paint. I then thought I ‘d try Angelus paints. I sanded the paint, wiped it off with 90% alcohol, Angelus acetone and alcohol mixture. I painted an area, but didn’t like the look or feel of ...More

I sanded the paint, wiped it off with 90% alcohol, Angelus acetone and alcohol mixture. I painted an area, but didn’t like the look or feel of it. Finally, I decided to call Rub ‘n Restore and admitted to C.C. What I did. She was very forgiving and said that leather is very hardy and that I had probably done enough for their paint to work. I decided on the color Butterscotch. And after 5 thin coats of it and less than one 16 ounce bottle of the color it is complete and AWESOME! I have gotten so many compliments on it and several people thinking of trying Rub ‘n Restore!

Directions were easy, a simple to use product as long as instructions are followed. The yellow custom color match was perfect. After restoring I sealed the color. I feel as though I have a new 5 piece sectional. I did not have to restore the sides, just the seating area and a portion of the high backs and both arm rests. It looks wonderful. Most of the wear issues came from blue jeans rubbing off and dulling the bright sunny yellow seats. The sofa is 13-14 years old and a good quality leather. I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend Rub n Restore.

    Amazing Outcome
We just finished restoring a leather ottoman that had been faded by the sun. The process was beyond easy and the outcome was it looks like new. What we learned was if your not happy after a coat just keep reapplying and smoothing until you get the result you want!
