When I began I had high hopes because it covered so well, but then there were little spots that just weren't covering. I went over and over it for days. I would wait for it dry then do another coat. I'd come back the next day and repeat. And finally I got most of the black covered. It's real hard to work around the moving parts on the arms and I couldn't figure out how to get them off, so it's not clean around them. Also, there are a few spots where the final coat bubbled. We have a gorgeous leather couch (made in Italy) that we purchased at an estate sale. The finish is smooth, high quality leather and the color was perfect. Was...for a few years. Then it started to fade due to wear and just didn't look at nice even though it still felt smooth to the touch. Luckily Rub N Restore helped me return it to it's original beauty! This is actually the second time we have used this product. It is absolutely amazing. We have this old red leather couch that looked horrible, I hated it and wanted to get rid of it. We decided to give this a try and it turned out so nice. It looks like a brand new couch. I recommend this product to anyone that is looking to renew. It is way less expensive than purchasing a new couch.

Leather is meant to last a lifetime.
Our sofas have withstood 2 kids, all their friends and 4 extra large dogs. Besides fading the only damage was on the seat cushions (torn by a digger dog!) but the sofas were a real eye sore. Rub n Restore, some upholstery fabric and we have a complete transformation! It's like brand new furniture! I LOVE rub and restore!!! My husband and teens were skeptical... they are amazed! The leather is still so soft, even softer than before says my son! Thank you Rub n Restore!

Color will transfer to a wet rag if the color has not yet cured. See here about cure time. Poor adhesion to the material could indicate a couple things: 1) faux or bonded leather, which resist all finishes, including their own, or 2) oil-based or silicone-based conditioning residue or a waxed finish that require more aggressive deglazing. I was a little skeptical (but hopeful) that Rub 'n Restore could make my 6-year-old cream-colored leather sofa look better. It not only worked but saved the sofa from the trash collector! My husband's side of the recliner sofa was a mess. No amount of cleaning could make the headrest look any better. The finish was even rubbed off in places on the headrest. I followed the instructions provided and was totally amazed at how well the ivory product covered the bad spots on the unsightly head rest. Thank you Rub 'n Restore!

When I saw the tutorial on YouTube it looked so easy I thought it was to good to be true . But rub n restore is as easy to use as the video says it is. Eggplant is a deep beautiful shade of purple. The product is easy to apply. I suggest for your last coat to measure the amount of color and amount of finish so that the item you are coloring has the same sheen over all. It just makes life easier. I actually have a second order in for a different color for a sofa I have in my living room. I highly recommend. In addition to the great product , it's so refreshing to call a company and have a real person answer the phone.

I did not like the color of our new hot tub cover and definitely did not want to spend the $300 to get a new one so I researched and found this product. It came super quick and the process to apply was easy and fast! It looks so much better now! Would definitely recommend!

Persimmon is such a fun color! I did expect it to be more red orange, but still love the color. I used it on two vintage barstools and changed them from a faded brown to a bright orange! I find that more product is needed for a more dramatic color change. I had just enough with a 4 oz bottle. I also mixed with the Clear Prep & Finish for a final coat.

Our leather sofa had some bare wear spots but otherwise was in great shape. Requested a few color swatches and the evaluation service which was extremely helpful. Rust seemed to be the color based on the swatches but the evaluation suggested Cherrywood might be closer. The Cherrywood was very close on its own. I considered mixing Cherrywood and Rust to get an exact match but after trying the Cherrywood alone, I was satisfied. I was extremely skeptical about this product. I purchased a cheap sectional and it was in rough condition. After the first coat of Espresso, I realized I might have made a mistake.. let me be the one to say.. TRUST THE PROCESS. A ragged old sectional is now beautiful and looks new. Attached are a photo before, a photo before the conditioner, and a photo after the conditioner. I really could not recommend this product more.. AND it got to my home in two days!

When we purchased this set of 2 Ekornes Stressless Chairs, they were worn, ripped and dirty. We called a leather repair shop in our area and they declined to work on them, saying they were too damaged. I followed the directions of the Rub N' Restore video about repairing a hole in leather and added a subpatch and filler. I did have trouble with sanding, but that was probably due to my own inexperience.
The original color of the chairs made it easier to cover with a few coats, because the colors were very similar. The leather receives the color really well - I have noticed vinyl will look really matte with the color and definitely needs t...More

I applied it on my natuzzi leather sectional to change color from light gray to ivory. At first it looked fabulous and complete color change after applying 9-10 quotes but after only 2 days it started showing cracks and lines and start looking really bad. I had to strip the color from while 15 feet long sectional which took me a week.
Not a good product for color change.
