Loving our newly restored couch and chair. The peppercorn color has a blue gray hue to it and I like that so it works great for me.

I bought this product in April 2018 and refinished a red leather wing-back chair to the walnut color. I found the "dye" acts more like paint. I used 8-10 coats to get the finish I wanted. As we've used the chair, the red color shows through a little which makes it look a little more worn-in and we actually like the effect better BUT if you accidentally scrape the chair (like I did with the corner of a cardboard box) the old red color totally shows through. Which is why I'm rating this as a 3 because it really doesn't seem to function like I would expect a dye to. Also, it was fairly labor intensive to have to do so many layers of the dye. The...More

Which is why I'm rating this as a 3 because it really doesn't seem to function like I would expect a dye to. Also, it was fairly labor intensive to have to do so many layers of the dye. Then there was the recommendation to use a fine steel wool to get the dye off of the brass buttons...that did not work well. If I wasn't really, really careful I would scrape off the dye on the leather surrounding the buttons. I eventually just gave up and left the brass buttons covered with dye. It doesn't look great but it doesn't look horrible.

I just wanted to thank you for your product. I changed two couches from beige to walnut. The couches look much better in the room now, because I painted the walls a lighter color and the couches provide a nice contrast. I LOVED that the product is water-based and that the cleanup was so easy.

I've been considering buying a new couch because my Indigo leather one was very scraped up. I knew it would be challenging to find an eggplant-colored couch that fits in the space. As a last ditch effort, I found Rub 'n Restore and my couch looks terrific. All the scratches are gone...very happy.

We had great success changing our tired old red couch to a shiny new dark brown with RnR.

IĀ am so excited about the transformation of my loveseat! I was nervous but as my husband always says 'It's already broken, so what can you hurt?' The product worked exactly as advertised, it was perhaps a little more difficult as I wanted a mottled finish and I think an opaque might have been even easier. I put the pictures on my Facebook page and my friends are absolutely amazed and want to know what I used. Some said they actually had no idea that leather could be dyed! Thank you so much, I am now on a quest for leather furniture to Rub 'n Restore! You guys rock! P.S. The pictures of the arm are before and after of repaired cat scratches! I...More

Rust is a near perfect match for the original Jeep CJ nutmeg color. I used it for a pair of soft door uppers to match the rest of my interior and my soft top. It's taken me a long time to find the right product, couldn't be happier!

This is my second time ordering this product. I ordered peppercorn and used it on a chair I picked up at Goodwill. The chair was red leatherette in great shape and I changed color to peppercorn and it looks fantastic! My sister took my advice and did an entire couch, chair and ottoman. It wears great and take so little time. A true money saver!

I bought a beige/almond recliner chair that after 3 months of use the color started fading and an ugly bluish stain appeared on the left armrest and headrest. I contacted the furniture store and the only we got out of them was a 10% refund. I was about to donate the chair to Goodwill when my husband told me that he had seen a video in You Tube that seemed very promising to restore our chair. He ordered it and followed the instructions and ā€œwallaā€ the chair looks even better than when I bought it. It was a magical transformation. This product is just absolutely phenomenal. Anyone can transform their letter or vinyl furniture in a matter of hous depending on how many layers you apply to obtain the desired color. My friends don’t believe is the same chair. The results surpassed my expectations!!

I began to wonder if I had done the right thing by applying this dye to the car's vinyl running boards. The first coat didn't go on that smooth and looked pretty streaked. HOWEVER, after the 4th coat of dye and two applications of Clear Prep+Finish it lOOks like NEW again!
