The product was very difficult to manage over a small area and clean-up was essentially impossible. While only using a very small amount, some of the stain dripped out of my sponge, creating a huge mess. The “included” gloves were useless.

Refreshed Ekornes Chairs
When we purchased this set of 2 Ekornes Stressless Chairs, they were worn, ripped and dirty. We called a leather repair shop in our area and they declined to work on them, saying they were too damaged. I followed the directions of the Rub N' Restore video about repairing a hole in leather and added a subpatch and filler. I did have trouble with sanding, but that was probably due to my own inexperience.
The original color of the chairs made it easier to cover with a few coats, because the colors were very similar. The leather receives the color really well - I have noticed vinyl will look really matte with the color and definitely needs...More

This stuff is amazing! I used 4 applications for a leather chair and ottoman, and barely used 1/8 of the bottle. It goes a long way!

I just wanted to send you the attached before and after photos of our vinyl couch restored using your products. This couch is 25 years old, part of a living room set of couch, love seat, and armchair. So the alternative to the $104 cost of restoration using your products was a whole new set of living-room furniture. What a great product! So easy to apply and it covered beautifully. No bad smells and dried quickly. I wore gloves but the spots I got on my skin washed right off easily. I did an entire couch and loveseat and didn’t even use up one bottle of dye. I did two coats and then went back and did a light third coat just for depth. My friends and family thought I was crazy to dye furniture but now they are totally impressed. My order arrived very quickly too. This stuff is a treasure!

Our 20 year old Flexsteel forest green analine dyed sofa is still in good shape but was badly sun faded. A request for a color sample was quickly acted on, with various coats, clear top coat shown so I knew what to expect. Using a sponge, I applied one coat of forest green, and it looked good but was too matte a finish. Another coat of a mix of1/3 color and 2/3 clear coat gave just the right sheen, and the leather feels soft and supple, as it always has-- there's no stiffness. In spite of using drop cloths, newspapers, etc. etc., 3 drops of color got on the carpet but a fast flooding with water, and mopping up with clean rags took care of the problem. I've tried other recoloring products in the past, but those gave temporary results, and nothing as dramatic as what I was able to achieve over 2 days. I highly recommend the product and the customer service.

I bought a low priced vinyl-leather looking couch at Macy's about 20 years ago. The salesman told me honestly that it was a good value and would wear pretty well if I did not abuse it. It was always very comfortable but recently was showing its age. I took a chance on rubnrestore because I felt I had nothing to lose by trying to rejuvenate it. I tried to redo it in the same color, and Forest was a pretty good match to the original green (got a swatch first).
I do have experience with a spray gun as I sometimes repaint cars. I used a DeVilbiss gun with 25 lb pressure at the tank through a 50' line. The dye worked extremely well and even ...More

I think it must be stressed here to use THIN multiple coats. The couch looks 100% better, and I have had many nice comments about it. Even if it only extends the usable life of the couch by a few years, rubnrestore is worth the investment.

A mix of the Forest and Cognac (thanks to the personal help from CC) produced the exact green I was looking for. Not only did this product transform a teal leather into a NEW chair, it took away the scars of years of use. The videos and personal phone help gave me the confidence to do this. I am a retired decorative painter, and went into this project with a definite color and professional results in mind. I received both and will use this product on another leather chair I have at our summer home. Thank you, Rub 'n Restore--this is an amazing product .

Have had our forest green leather couch for 15 years, but after 2 kids wear and tear of every day life it has seen better days. I called around to inquire cost of redying my couch and cost was more than what we had paid brand new 15 yrs ago. Found RubnRestore in website read testimonials and order 16oz Forest Green dye and 16oz. Clear Prep+Finish. I now have our couch looking and feeling brand new. Very happy with outcome.
