The product is top notch, easily applied and made my seat and saddle bags look brand new. However, although the text description of the finish attained is butterscotch, photo images of the Cognac dye on a sofa depicts a darker more chocolate shade. I did not get the darker shade like the photo of the sofa. I got the lighter shade of butterscotch. I have since ordered a second bottle of Tobacco. Lesson learned: Do not trust computer screen/website images, get sample swatches before ordering product.

The descriptions and other reviews will sell you as this great magical fix all product. I followed the directions and did not get the results I expected. The directions state to wet a sponge but it shouldn’t be too wet or too dry. How is one to judge this approximation? I varied the sponge wetness and still got streaking and an inconsistent color. Maybe if you are a professional and use this product everyday you can get desirable results. Yes it changes the feel (somewhere it states it does not). I’m going to pay the money to have my seats reupholstered. They have a return policy but the time I lose on shipping both ways, it’s not worth...More

I’m going to pay the money to have my seats reupholstered.
They have a return policy but the time I lose on shipping both ways, it’s not worth it.
If you are someone that does not care if your things look just okay and can figure out their exact technique, then this is for you.
When caring for your upholstery after applied, you cannot use vinyl cleaners or conditioners… hmm.

Midnight Blue was easy to apply. Coverage was excellent. I was re-coating my armrest on old BMW, after repairing the dry leather, using their leather repair product. Not finished yet, but here where I’m at now.
    Great customer service.

This is my second project. After scrubbing this free chair with comet and hosing it off, I let it completely dry. Instead of a sponge, I used a very soft bristled, flat edge one inch brush and painted the product on. Half way thru I realized I needed to seal the leather with the clear coat stuff. Voila, gorgeous chair. White doesn't go as far but I didn't waste any by having it dry on the sponge. Paint brush was the way to go.

We bought a Walworth leather sofa from Ashley Furniture in November 2017. It wasn’t long before the ā€œleatherā€ started to peal between the seat cushions and for the stain to rub off one of the arm rests. Both imperfections continued to worsen over time. Finally, I found the Rub N Restore site and ordered swatches for matching purposes. I then ordered the Walnut dye and the glaze. Worked like a charm!!! The arm rest repair is only visible to us and we have to look hard. We even used the dye on the cotton fabric between the seats...just painted it on with a paintbrush and the fabric absorbed it. So the pics online are great - but would it work for me? YES! It’s truly a wonderful product. See my pics of before/after. My next venture is to fix the rip in my couch.

I ordered and used the product in Espresso. Made a huge difference and blended well on my chocolate colored leather couch and chair. I did not order the clear coat, but need to do so as the color looks a bit dull when dry. I think adding clear all over will bring back the luster look. I have not noticed it rubbing off on clothes but the areas where it was applied were on the top of the back vertical cushions which are low touch areas. The reason I needed the product is because our puppy kept getting up on the top for naps and suddenly the areas where he would lay were an orange color.

I went from an ugly maroon color to the cognac finish and man it looks way better. Only took 3/4 of a 16oz bottle for my small couch. Ordered another 16 oz to get the 3 seater done next!

My husband bought me a very expensive soft leather coat 25 years ago one of my children decided it needed a spongebob sticker on it . When I peeled the sticker off it took some of the finish with it leaving a bluish area. Because it was a gift I kept it all this time hanging in my closet. The discoloration bothered me so much I never wore it. I tried many things to fix it but alas finally its perfectly fixed. Thank you for making such a wonderful product.

Making the buttercup a deeper, darker mustard with Clear and yellow oxide universal colorant made the coverage way better. This sofa went from a reddish brown to mustard šŸ¤—. Love it!

I tried Tobacco at first, but it was a bit too dark & reddish for me. I put on Cognac instead all over my leather sectional and it is amazing!! I have two dogs and it is holding up fabulously. I love it!
