Thanks to CC's color analysis, the eggplant/wine color combo worked perfect for my couch. My worn couch is looking new again, you have saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you!

This product does exactly what it states. First, I primed the furniture with Clear Prep+Finish and followed with one coat of mahogany utilizing the "glaze" method. I am thrilled with the results!

This is my second purchase to touch up the rub n restore project I did last year. We have two used, red, waxed-aniline sofas in fabulous condition, but I wanted black sofas. I purchased black and clear and mixed 3:1 for a slight sheen. First try was a flop -- I didn't get all the wax off, so the dye flaked off on to everything. I was extremely disappointed and so I called to ask for help. We talked it through and the ladies suggested odorless mineral spirits or denatured alcohol. I went with denatured alcohol and water 1:1 to get the Wax off and the adhesion was nearly perfect. The product doesn't soak in to dye or stain the leather -- it onl...More

I was extremely disappointed and so I called to ask for help. We talked it through and the ladies suggested odorless mineral spirits or denatured alcohol. I went with denatured alcohol and water 1:1 to get the Wax off and the adhesion was nearly perfect. The product doesn't soak in to dye or stain the leather -- it only covers over the leather so high-use spots will wear off. We have two big dogs that play on the sofas, and so after a year, about 1/2 the total coverage has worn away. The result in our case looks like intentionally distressed leather. It's easy to use, dries super fast, and makes much more sense than buying a new sofa. I don't worry about the dogs wearing down the color, and I feel like very small investment and time to refresh the color is by far a better solution that getting new furniture. I give the product 4 stars because it is semi-permanent and wears off over time. So while it's a very good Solution and an excellent value, it's not perfect.

I don't know where to start, we are snowbirds and purchased a well known brand recliner 4 years ago, but actual use was 20 months, I noticed to original dye was wearing off, contacted the company and they would not accept responsibility for a defect finish, found your company on Google, after discussions with you I ordered the Walmut and Cherrywood, mixed them together and applied 2 coats as instructed with a top coat of clear Prep, I cannot believe my eyes, the results are better than new. Was easier than I thought. You should create a new standard color called Walnut Cherrywood because it is a beautiful. I have enough product to do it over ...More

My dealings with you were first class and I highly recommend your products. I submitted before and after pictures under a separate e-mail that you are free to use.

Just got my very first bottle of rub & restore!! I'm in love!! Took me about 2 hours to do my couch!! It was a cream color before. I still had half of the 16oz bottle left to start on my love seat!! I got this couch and love seat used and someone one else picked it up for me...I was so disappointed in how it looked...but after finding this project I love my couch!! Couch and love seat = $100 Rub & Restore = $60 End Result = Priceless!! $160 invested...can't beat that!!!

This product is awesome. I used it to change the color of my bar stools from a dull color to a vibrant Chilli Pepper red. They look brand new.

What a great product! After searching and trying everything I was just about to resign to the fact I'd have to bring in someone to repair or replace. I came across your website and decided to give it one last shot. So happy with results.

Headboard from tan to peppercorn. Only needed a little bit. 2 coats of Rub & Restore 1 hour time, kitchen dish sponge and a water spray bottle to keep sponge a little bit moist and bam it was easy. The studs on bed I just rub with old white tee shirt. Thanks Rub & Restore. I told my friends and family, and they will be ordering soon. So will I, thanks LOL!

A mix of the Forest and Cognac (thanks to the personal help from CC) produced the exact green I was looking for. Not only did this product transform a teal leather into a NEW chair, it took away the scars of years of use. The videos and personal phone help gave me the confidence to do this. I am a retired decorative painter, and went into this project with a definite color and professional results in mind. I received both and will use this product on another leather chair I have at our summer home. Thank you, Rub 'n Restore--this is an amazing product .

I bought this paint over two years ago when my husband and I were given some leather couches for our apartment. Because leather is so easy to clean and nice to have, we couldn't turn them down just because of the color so I did some research and found RnR! We changed the couch from a tannish brown color to a beautiful light gray and it was extremely easy. My only rag on it is that after two years our couches looked pretty darn faded but luckily we were able to use that same paint we had from two years ago to give a fresh new coat and it looks perfect! We got a 16 oz bottle and did a full sofa + love seat, a total of maybe 6 coats with still s...More

Thanks again RnR!

It was really scarey experience, knowing so little about dying leather, in ordering the dye over the inter-net because there were so many negative opinions regarding a water base dye adhering to leather and/or vinyl. But decided to order your product anyways based on the positive testimonials on your web site and very, very glad that we did. Following the directions that came with the product and on your web site, the product worked out very well and the results were beyond our expectation.

May work for others but not my project. Tried on a chair. Looked like painted plastic with streaks. I returned the product, and was refunded in full. I will get the chairs professionally done.

This is a beautiful deep red. It makes our couch feel more expensive. It is not a garrishly bright shade.

I was skeptical but it works, doesn't stink, and doesn't seem to come off. Really happy with the product.
