This product was so easy to apply and covered scrapes, scratches and worn places made by my dog. I sanded the areas lightly, used clear prep and finish, before and after. It took several coats on the worn area, only one coat on the rest as I was not changing the color. I still have enough product to do another sofa. It looks like new leather now....I am very pleased.

We went from purple to white! Looks great! The picture shows only 2 coats, using 1 full bottle. I am a salesperson by trade, and this stuff sells itself! Thanks!

I am impressed by the results, beyond words. It took 2 hours, and my couch looks brand new. I was skeptical that it will turn out to look painted or the colors won't look right. It came out looking like the first day we got it delivered, 10 years ago. A beige couch and a house with 3 energetic kids is just a bad combination to begin with. I was hoping for something that looks OK, and ended up with perfection. It's great that I was able to get samples before picking the dye. I was ready to order Ivory, but then decided to request the samples, just in case. And of course, Beige was the perfect match.

I used the Cognac Leather and Vinyl Dye on a office chair that was originally a very close color. The chair is a combo of vinyl and leather, with a leather seating surface and vinyl on the arms, back and sides. The color on the vinyl surfaces had either worn off completely as in the case of the arms or turned an odd greenish shade on the sides and back.I used clear prep and finish. Then I put 2 thin coats of cognac on the leather seating surface and sides and back. I put 5 coats on the arms to bring them back to the same color as the rest of the chair. I topped it off with a coat of clear prep and finish. Everybody has commented it looks like...More

IĀ absolutely love the product and cannot believe how easy it is to apply. Here are a couple pics of my lounge chair so far. Thank you so much for this product it defiantly does not disappoint.

While the product is not designed for nubuck and suede, I experimented on this sofa with the ash color and got great results. I used a mixture of one part Ash, one part Clear Prep, and one part distilled water. First I rubbed on a thin, light coat with sponge. It looked awful. Sponged on another 4-5 coats, and looks good. Doesn't feel stiff or unnatural either.

This product works just as they say it will, although I will stress to follow their instruction (the sponge, moisture level etc). I got impatient and I did a coat without the sponge and it definitely makes a difference having the sponge. I used one bottle of color and one bottle of the clear prep and top coat on 1 couch and 2 recliners and had a small amount left over of each. My couch is 12 years old and showed it but looks great now. The chairs were a bad buy from Abbyson. The color started peeling on them within months of buying them and this products has saved me from buying 2 new chairs for now! This company takes care of its custome...More

I had a major issue with UPS and the company took care of it. Awesome company, awesome product. Will definitely use again when needed.

I bought a couch from a well known furniture store about 3 years ago, and was under the impression based on the advertisement and price it was real leather. Fast forward to 6 months ago, it started peeling. I didn't want to buy all new furniture (I only had it for a few years) so I began to search for something that would help me. I came across this product one day and decided to try it (I had already tried the leather tape and some other sealant type product). It was worth a shot, and while it isn't a perfect fix, it is very close! I was able to dye the material under the leather bond to the same color so there is no longer any discolora...More

It was worth a shot, and while it isn't a perfect fix, it is very close! I was able to dye the material under the leather bond to the same color so there is no longer any discoloration on my couch. And this means I can probably keep my sofa for another 3-5 years, which is awesome. I would encourage you to buy the sealant with the dye, because you will need it. It dries very flat, so it doesn't match the finish on the rest of my couch. (flat vs. shiny) but the sealer will make it shiny.

I think if it was the right color I would be very happy. Not the fault of rub n restore I picked out the color looking at the pictures. Was a lot lighter than the pic showed. Going to send in a sample of the material and see if they can match the color.

I had this leather chair that was mallard green that I could not part with. We moved into a cabin and I needed it red. So I first rubbed it with the ash color which I had left over from my first Rub 'n Restore project and then next day I applied the Red Chili color and it turned out perfect. I would add my before and after photos if there was a feature to do this.
